Professor Pieter Francois is Professor of Cultural Evolution and Director of the Computational Humanities Lab, University of Oxford. At the Alan Turing Institute he is the Lead of the Resilient Societies Research Group. He is an internationally leading scholar in the computational humanities and on the topic of research infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities. He is the Founding and Executive Director of the Seshat Global History Databank. He is the Principal Investigator of the project ‘Data/Culture. Building Sustainable Communities around Arts and Humanities data and software’.
