Andrea Colamedici is a philosopher, publisher and essayist. In 2014 he founded Tlon together with Maura Gancitano: a cultural project that manifests itself through the organization of festivals and events, a publishing house, two bookstores and an activity of outreach online and in person, mixing high and popular culture, analyzing needs and meanings of our time and connecting the academic environment with popular culture.

He teaches Prompt Thinking at IED Roma and the 24Ore Business School, and Borges y la Inteligencia Artificial at the Universidad del Sur in Buenos Aires. He has taught Social Media Theory at IULM University in Milan. He is a faculty member of the 24Ore Business School and has collaborated with numerous Italian and international universities, including Politecnico di Milano, University of Bologna, San Raffaele, Roma Tre and LUISS.

He is president of GenIA, an interdisciplinary hub on artificial intelligence at AANT – Academy of Arts and New Technologies in Rome, where he coordinates applied research and training activities on generative AI for art, design and communication. In 2024–2025 he held a research fellowship at the University of Foggia on artificial intelligence and systems of thought, with a project centered on the philosophical-editorial experiment of Jianwei Xun and the genesis of Ipnocrazia.

Together with Maura Gancitano he is the philosophical director of the Festival del Pensare Contemporaneo in Piacenza and the Carnevale di Putignano. He is the creator of the Festa della Filosofia at the Triennale in Milan and Rome, of the online marathon Prendiamola con Filosofia (created at the request of the Ministry of Health) and of the Italian Podcast Awards. He has given speeches for TEDxRoma on the philosophy of artificial intelligence and for TEDxBarletta on the relationship between art and AI.
